This Policy explains what personal data Lokal Solvr collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run the Game.
What we collect
- Account details you provide: email, nickname, and optionally full name, country, preferred language, and date of birth (used to confirm you meet the age requirement).
- Precise location: while you play, we use your device location to place you on the map and to verify finds. Verification checks whether you are inside a target radius.
- Photos you take to confirm finds and any places or reports you submit.
- Usage and device data: basic technical logs, app version, and diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.
- Payment data: purchases are handled by our payment processor; we receive confirmation and limited transaction details, not your full card number.
How we use it
- To run the Game: generate walks, show the map, verify finds, award and track credits/XP.
- To moderate content and handle reports, submissions, and support requests.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse or fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations, including age requirements.
- With your separate opt-in, to send you product updates. You can opt out at any time.
Legal bases (EU/EEA/UK)
We rely on: performance of our contract with you (to run the Game and process purchases); your consent (precise location, optional marketing); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement); and legal obligations. You can withdraw consent — for example, by turning off location permission — though some features won’t work without it.
Who we share it with
We use trusted processors to provide the service and share data with them only as needed: Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage), Vercel (hosting), our AI/LLM provider(s) for generating and enriching content, map and geocoding providers, our workflow/notification tooling (n8n), and our payment processor. We don’t sell your personal data.
Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required by law (e.g. for tax/payment records).
Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data, and request a copy (portability).
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Delete your account, which removes your profile and associated content, subject to legal retention.
- Complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The Game isn’t intended for children under 13 (or under the applicable digital-consent age where higher). We don’t knowingly collect data from them; if you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll remove it.
International transfers & security
Your data may be processed in countries other than yours; where required, we use appropriate safeguards. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no service is perfectly secure.
